International Programs Admission

Students registered in all international programs at HBUT are admitted comply with the admission plan for full-time study undergraduates and tertiary students in institutions of higher education.

Admission of Bachelor program: students in Hubei province should be admitted through Tier-1 admission (students in Sino-US Program in Art should be admitted through batch admission in advance), and students in other provinces should be admitted through Tier-2 admission

Admission of Tertiary program: students in Hubei province should be admitted through Tier-4 tertiary education admission (and are conferred Graduation Certificate by HBUT.), students in other provinces should be admitted comply with the corresponding tier announced by local admission office.

Hubei provincial students who apply for international programs at HBUT with a score of or above Tier-1 admission cut-offs enjoy priority admission.

Within two weeks of registration, program students can apply to transfer into other specialty among international programs of the same discipline and level.

Non-program students who are admitted by HBUT can apply for international programs of the same discipline and level.

Tuition fee for programs students at HBUT must be subject to the final approval of the Price Control Bureau, and the fee might fluctuate slightly every year.

Introduction to Anglia Ruskin University

Anglia Ruskin’s story starts in 1858, when the art critic, patron and philanthropist John Ruskin opened Cambridge School of Art. It shares a history of more than 150 years. Anglia Ruskin University is a comprehensively public university located in the East of England, it has two main campuses. Today, Anglia Ruskin University is one of the largest universities in England , with over 31,500 students. There are altogether 5 faculties offering Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programs. The curriculum is designed to keep pace with the industry development frontier, and the laboratories are equipped with the most advanced experimental devices. The course of Electronics has passed the accreditation of Certified Engineer by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. The university has established close connection with the local science and technology enterprises, which offer students chances to do researches or part time jobs. The program of Mechanical Design & Manufacturing and Automation is offered at the London campus, and the program of Electronic Information Engineering is offered at the Cambridge campus.

Students can apply for dual Bachelor’s Degrees from both universities by studying at HBUT for the first 3 years, and at Anglia Ruskin University for the 4^th year. Only one-year study in Britain saves the cost greatly.

Program students take courses of English delivery during the 3 years at HBUT, besides, some specialty core courses are undertaken by faculty from Anglia Ruskin University, which can enhance students’ English skills and broaden their international perspective.

Britain is the birthplace of the First Industrial Revolution. Therefore, it owns excellent engineering education resource, and it is an ideal country for engineering students who would like to further their studies abroad.

Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Automation, and Electronic Engineering are superior disciplines in both universities, thus program students will have a promising employment prospect.

Introduction to University of Wisconsin

The University of Wisconsin System is a university system of public universities in the state of Wisconsin. It is one of the largest public higher education systems in the country, enrolling more than 182,000 students each year. The UW System is made up of 13 four-year universities, 13 freshman-sophomore UW Colleges campuses, and statewide UW-Extension. University of Wisconsin Milwaukee was founded in 1956. It is the largest urban research university in the University of Wisconsin System with 30,000 students on campus. At present, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee offers 94 Bachelor programs, 53 Master programs and 32 Doctoral programs.

Peck School of the Arts of University of Wisconsin Milwaukee is one of the oldest and largest comprehensive Schools of Arts in Mid-west America, and it offers more than 2,000 major courses. Peck School of the Arts of University of Wisconsin Milwaukee enjoys a high reputation of “the cradle of designers” in central United States , and it has a number of master designers who have both teaching and research strength. By establishing student internship base with many corporations in America , Peck School of the Arts offer students good opportunities to take designing practice.

Program students can choose between the two German universities.

University of Wuppertal

University of Wuppertal originated in the 18^th century in Wuppertal, the hometown of Engels. It is an excellent comprehensive public research university, and some of its specialties rank top across Germany or even the world. University of Wuppertal offers Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral programs. Each specialty is authorized to confer Doctoral degree. Ranking in the top 20 among over 330 universites in Germany , University of Wuppertal was awarded the honor of “The Most Suitable University to Nurture Future Chinese Entrepreneurs” twice by Germany . 

University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern

The University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern originated in the 18^th century, it is located in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, the famous German football city and university city. University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern attains high teaching and research level in the field of Civil Engineering, and it attaches great importance to the collaboration with enterprises and cultivation of students’ practical ability. Being the largest university of applied sciences in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern is devoted to nurturing the first-class engineers in the world through its close cooperation with some large construction enterprises, consequently, the graduates are favored by the employers.

Introduction to VSB-Technical University of Ostrava

The VSB-Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO) was founded in 1849, it has a long history with strength of running the university and beautiful campus environment. VSB-TUO offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral programs and ranks top 3 among comprehensive universities in the Republic of Czech, central Europe. With Economics being its major strength, VSB-TUO has more than 24,000 students on campus, among which over 1100 come from other countries across the world. It is one among the very few universities that can offer English delivery programs in the Republic of Czech.

Advantages:

Students can apply for 2 Bachelor’s Degrees and 1 Master’s Degree in 5 years, which is a high-efficiency study.

Finance is a superior discipline in VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, and graduates would possess high expertise and broad international perspective in Finance.

Under the collaborative agreement between the two universities, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava would provide students with the lowest tuition fee, besides, the program is taught in English, thus it saves tuition cost greatly to study abroad.

Cooperative University: Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée

Introduction to Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée

Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée (UPEMLV) was founded in 1989 through the merger of Université Paris-Est and Université Marne-la-Vallée, located on the river Marne of the suburban Paris. The scenery is beautiful and the transportation is convenient. Université Marne-la-Vallée was affiliated to Université Paris Diderot - Paris VII before 1989, and it was originally called “Université des Sciences et de la Technologie”, and evolved in a comprehensive university of science and technology in 1991. UPEMLV has developed into a comprehensive pubic university with advanced teaching equipment, a wide range of disciplines, equal balance on teaching and research, close international exchange and cooperation. Being a multidisciplinary university of balanced development, UPEMLV offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral programs. Besides, it’s one of the important members of La Communauté Université Paris-Est, and enjoys the honor of “University of Engineers”.

UPEMLV is made up of 4 faculties, 11 departments, 3 Centers for Doctoral Training, and 23 labs. Currently there are 11,500 students, 400 faculty, 250 administrative staff and over 100 disciplines offered in the university. UPEMLV is specialized in Science and Technology, Civil Engineering, Urban and Environmental Planning, Social Humanities, Politics, Business Administration and so on. UPEMLV has also established partnership with other Chinese universities such as Fudan University, Beijing Normal University, Nankai University, Wuhan University. In 2009, the first group of 12 program students of HBUT went to UPEMLV to pursue their Master’s degree. In 2012, the second group of 13 program students went to France to further their studies.

Mechanics and Civil Engineering are the superior specialties in both UPEMLV and HBUT. The cooperation accelerates the cultivation of international talents of high quality in the field of Civil Engineering.

During the studies of Master program in France , students are free of charge of tuition fee, and they only need to pay their living expense, which greatly reduced the cost of studying abroad.

Program students take French language training for 4 years at HBUT, which increases their employment competitiveness.

Remark:

UPEMLV offers Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral program in specialties of Mechanics and Civil Engineering. Undergraduate students are cultivated to master the main approaches and instruments to solve the problems encountered in Civil Engineering. Graduate students are targeted to be engineers and technical directors in the related departments of civil engineering.

Sino-Canadian Cooperative Program (Tertiary Education)

Specialty: Marketing, Business Administration, Financial Accounting

Cooperative University: Lambton College

Introduction to Lambton College

The Lambton College Foundation was established in 1966 as a charitable organization mandated to support Lambton College in achieving its vision of quality, career-focused education and world class specializations, providing the bridge to a global society. A dedicated Board of Directors and staff implement awareness and fund development initiatives to support Lambton College students.

It is located in Sarnia, Ontario, adjacent to Detroit, USA . Specialized in Business, Lambton College offers courses such as Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Hotel and Hospitality Management, Network Application and Development, and Pharmacy.

Lambton College has signed credit transfer agreement with 17 universities in Canada and 6 universities in USA . Students who graduated from Lambton College can apply to transfer to those universities to further their studies in order to get a Bachelor’s degree. Lambton College has established a close partnership with Northwood University, and the two universities have signed the agreement on credit transfer for 15 years. At present, Lambton College has over 1,000 students from more than 30 countries on campus.

Being a country of diversity, Canada is one of the countries for the best study-abroad policy and welfare policy. The Canadian higher education reaches a leading level in the world. Taking the advantage of the excellent teaching resources in Business at Lambton College, program students will have a solid mastery of specialty foundation and practical skills.

Students will be awarded dual Graduation Certificate of Tertiary Education by HBUT and Lambton College.

After two years of studies or the graduation of tertiary education in Canada , students can apply to pursue their Bachelor’s degree in Canada , Australia , USA , etc. (There are 25 universities who have signed credit transfer agreement with Lambton College.)

The intensive English language training courses will help student improve their English skills greatly. Besides, the international specialty knowledge and internship experience in large enterprises at home and abroad will strengthen graduates’ employment competitiveness.

Notice:

1.       All international programs offered at HBUT have specialty and language assessment requirements before students go abroad, therefore, HBUT and the cooperative universities do not promise that program students can definitely meet the requirements. Students who fail in satisfying the requirements will continue their studies at HBUT.

2.       Visa is students’ personal affair of application to study abroad, HBUT and the cooperative universities can only provide assistance in preparing necessary official documents instead of   promising that all students can get their visas.

3.       European and American universities adopt flexible length of schooling. All international programs offered by HBUT take the shortest length of schooling in the cooperative universities. Due to the difference of language level and learning ability, student might study longer abroad than the standard length of schooling.

4.       If program students who have been conferred Diploma or Degree by foreign universities would like to apply for the Graduation Certificate and Degree awarded by the domestic universities, they should come back within the time limit stipulated by the Ministry of Education in China. Students should apply for the Graduation Certificate and Bachelor’s degree within 6 years after registered in the domestic universities. Students should apply for the Graduation Certificate of Tertiary Education within 4 years after registered in the domestic universities.
