The University Badminton Championship of Hubei 2017 was held at Wuhan City Vocational College (South Campus) from May 5 to 7, with 28 men's teams and 22 women's teams from Hubei Province participating in the competition. After fierce matches, our university won gold in women's doubles in group A, 5th place in women's teams, and 3rd place in men's teams. 

    At the time when our women's team finished their matches, they were at the top of their group, but as other matches completed they were knocked out during quarterfinals by the players from Wuhan University who eventually won the category. Meanwhile, our women's doubles beat their rivals from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Wuhan University of Technology and Wuhan University with the spirit, "Yes I can", and so won the champion title. The achievement was truly a breakthrough for our university. Although our men's team had less experience, they pulled out all the stops, and did extremely well in early matches. Unfortunately, in the semi-final our team was defeated by Wuhan University, the final winner. 

    Where there's a will, there's a way. The great results of this competition come from the strong support of the school leaders and coaches and the players' hard work. We are looking forward to our team's greater success next time.
