Dear students：

This is the week 9 of the semester, and from week 6 all the supervisors have cooperated with Teaching Affairs Office to check the attendance rate randomly.

School of International Education hereby publishes the name list of students who did not attend the class on time in week 8 and notifies all students to attend the class on time. And from week 7, SIE will not only publish the name list of students who do not attend class on time, but also do necessary punishments and minus points according to Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Punishment & Point System Imposed on Disobedient International Students of HBUT.

Please be notified and tell each other. If you have question about the result, you may contact with you class teacher and ask him/her to revise the result with Teaching Affairs Office.

Article 5 Students violating laws & regulations, school rules and disciplines will be criticized by the University, and the following disciplinary punishments can be imposed as the case may be:

(I) Warning, minus 1 point;

(II) Serious Warning, minus 2 points;

(III) Demerit Record, minus 3 points;

(IV) Academic Probation, minus 5 points;

(V) Expulsion from the university, minus 10 points.

For the student who is given punishment, School of International Education will deduct corresponding points. When the amount reaches minus 10, the student will be expelled from University permanently.

Article 20 For any student violating teaching management regulations to play truant for no reason:

(I) Impose a Warning for 4 class hours' absence;

(II) Impose a Serious Warning for 6 class hours' absence;

(III) Impose a Demerit Record for playing truant for 8 class hours' absence;

(IV) Impose an Academic Probation for 10 class hours' absence;

(V) Impose an Expulsion from the university for 12 class hours' absence;

For absenteeism for many times, the number of class hours shall be calculated accumulatively by semester. In case any student does not return to the university upon expiry of the leave period, the absence time will be calculated from the expiring date. In case any student leaves school without authorization, the absence time will be calculated from the leaving day.
