HBUT has a meeting with the delegation from Anglia Ruskin University

On October 26th, Prof. Cai Fangfang, the Assisdant Dean of the School of Science and technology, and Prof. Steve Mugliston, the deputy department director of Engineering and Architectural Environment from Anglia Ruskin University, UK, visited our university. They held meetings on the Sino-British Cooperation Program separately with program students and the program management teams of Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Automation, and Electronic Information Engineering. Our president, Prof. Liu Defu granted an interview to the two representatives, and the directors of the following department attended the meeting: the Department of International Relations, the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, etc.



The meeting was hosted by the Dean of the School of International Education, Mr. Ye Chaocheng. Mr. Ye gave a welcoming speech and introduced the management team members of two parties. He affirmed the achievements of the cooperation program, and put forward the problems needed to be resolved. Two parties had a discussion and put forward many valuable advice and suggestions on the new teaching plans and course arrangement, the arrangement of the teachers from two parties, the separation of duties of program directors from two parties, etc. The British leaders showed their determination of problem solving and confidence of smooth cooperation with our university in the future.



On the afternoon of October 26th, the School of international education organized a presentation for the Sino-British Cooperation Program. Prof. Cai FangFang, Assisdant Dean of the School of Science and technology, Prof. Steve Mugliston, the deputy department director of Engineering and Architectural Environment from Anglia Ruskin University, UK, delivered a comprehensive and informative project presentation on the issues generally concerned by the students, such as the school's majors, social assessments, requirements for students, etc., which enforced students' confidence and motivation to study abroad.



Both teams expressed that they would make continuing efforts to improve the program management, ensuring that the first group of the program students could successfully study in UK in the next year, and would complete the assessment of Ministry of Education.
