The delegation consisting of 4 people from Massachusetts Education International (MEI) and Shenzhen Seadragon Education Co., Ltd (Seadragon Education) visited our university on the afternoon of November 3rd, 2016. The meeting with the delegation was held in the meeting room on the fourth floor in the Administration Building, hosted by the office dean of our department of International Relations. The directors from the Office of Student Affairs in the following schools attended the meeting; the school of Mechanical Engineering, the school of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, the school of Computer Science, and more.
Our vice president, Prof. Gong Yunfa, gave a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of our university. He gave a brief introduction about the history, majors, discipline features, scientific research, internships and the employment of graduates, International exchange and cooperation, and so on. Prof. Gong hoped that the meeting could act as a bridge between our university and international education enterprises, thus providing our students with a better international development platform for overseas study and employment.
Prof. Guo Yunkui, the president of MEI, gave detailed information on the enterprise and the basic situation of university education in Massachusetts. He expressed his unique insights regarding the current development strategy of China's higher educational internationalization.
Mr. Liu, the vice-general manager of Seadragon Education, reviewed the history of the company, then mainly introduced the company's advantages and features on training and services for foreign language teachers, international featured courses, overseas exchange programs for university students during summer and winter holidays, and overseas study programs.
During the meeting, the delegation from MEI and Seadragon Education aimed to achieve in-depth cooperation on the postgraduate degree program, combining it with training in the employment skills of Americans. For program students, if they pass the admission exams of American Universities, they can formally enroll in the university. There is no program fee. Students only need to pay their tuition.
The two parties discussed specific details about the postgraduate program, such as language training, majors in the program, etc. The most popular majors in postgraduate education and employment in America are as follows: Biological Pharmacy, Food Science, Computer Science and Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, etc.
After the meeting, the program presentation was held by the delegation.
