On the morning of November 10th, 2016, Mr. Langhe, the director of the department of Northeast Asia Region from Hanns Seidel Stiftung, Germany, with his two colleagues, visited our university to have a meeting to discuss the future cooperation on Sino-German vocational education with our university leaders. Our vice president, Prof. Zhang Yingjiang attended the meeting, which was hosted by Ms. Long Yan, the director of the Department of International Relations.

During the meeting, Prof. Zhang Yingjiang, gave a brief introduction about our university's basic situation and development of our vocational education. He stressed out about cooperation between our university and Hanns Seidel Stiftung on training for teachers in the field of vocational education as well as the cooperation between our university and colleges and universities overseas since 2014, especially current cooperation situation between our university and German colleges and universities. Prof. Zhang also expressed his expectation to strengthen the cooperation with Hanns Seidel Stiftung on training for vocational education's teachers, and cultivation for vocational education's normal undergraduates.

Mr. Langhe introduced the basic situation of Hanns Seidel Stiftung and its business in China. He pointed out that as a public welfare foundation of the government in Germany, Hanns Seidel Stiftung had nearly 100 cooperative programs in more than 60 countries around the world. He hoped that on the basis of two parties' former good cooperation, he wanted to deepen the cooperative relations. By comparing and analyzing the differences of vocational education modes between China and Germany, Mr. Bleiberg, the director of Hanns Seidel Stiftung's western projects, gave some excellent advice on how to improve the quality of cultivation for vocational education's normal undergraduates in Hubei University of Technology.

Two parties had an in-depth discussion and negotiation about training for vocational education's teachers, and cultivation for vocational education's normal undergraduates. They agreed that they would surmount all difficulties to put the future cooperation into practice.

Other leaders from our Vocational Technical Normal School and the Department of International Relations also attended the meeting.
