The 'Future - Oriented Sustainable Design' International Design Forum is held in HBUT

On the morning of November 28th, 2016, the 'Future - Oriented Sustainable Design' International Design Forum was held in our university. The International Design Forum was sponsored by Hubei University of Technology, hosted by our School of Art and Design, and co-hosted by our Department of International Relations and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Affairs Office. The opening speech was given by our university's Party Secretary, Mr. Zhou Yingjia. Our president, Prof. Liu Defu also attended the opening ceremony.



There were nearly 30 well-known professors, designers, entrepreneurs, alumnae and alumnus from America, France, Germany, Lithuania, Ireland, Japan, Indonesia, etc. gathering in our university to attended the event. They were from the following colleges, universities and companies: the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tongji University, Hunan University, Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, Jinagnan University, Capital Normal University, Daye Design Zhengbang Design, Lococoa Media LLC., DOSN Media Group LLC., etc. 


These distinguished guests were here to carry out academic discussions about these four key topics: design value, design education, design industry, design fusion. And they would give more than 20 forward-looking lectures to over a thousand students and teachers at the meeting in the next two days. Participants from more than 40 colleges and universities inside and outside the province attended the forum, including Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, etc. Numbers of news media interviewed on the grand event at the scene and reported it.



The International Design Forum will last 2 days. During the forum, a series of design exhibition will be held in our School of Art and Design.
