First Group of 1+1 Master Program Students fromKazakhstanFinished Their Studies at HBUT?xml:namespace>
Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University and HBUT signed an Agreement on Dual 2+2 Bachelor Degree Program and 1+1 Master Degree Program in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages and Computer Science and Technology in 2013. In this February, 6 students of Master program in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages and 2 students Master program in Computer Science and Technology from Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University came to HBUT for 1-year studies after studies at their mother university for one semester. In this December, the 8 program students successfully completed their studies at HBUT and were going back to their mother university to continue the study.
The Symposium forKazakhstanstudents leaving HBUT was held in the Reception Room of Teaching Building No. 2 on Friday afternoon, Dec. 19. Long Yan, deputy director of International Office, one professor from School of Foreign Languages: Zhou Jinsheng, and other two associate professors: Li Li, and Zhang Jianping attended the symposium. First of all, Long Yan expressed her congratulation to all the 8 students, encouraged them to continue working hard on their studies at their mother university to get dual Master’s Degree from both universities. At the same time, she also expected that as the first group of program students finished their studies at HBUT, they can promote the exchange and cooperation between the two universities as well as spreading Chinese culture. Professor Zhou Jinsheng and the other two associate professors Li Li and Zhang Jianping conduct ea deep discussion with the 8 students concerning the title, the research direction and the outline of their M.A. Thesis. In the end of the symposium, the 8 students expressed their gratitude in fluent Chinese for the instruction and assistance from their teachers during their stay at HBUT. Besides, they told their teachers that they were satisfied with the life and study at HBUT, and they had learned a lot. Moreover, they expected to come back for further study at HBUT in the future.
