On the afternoon of May 16th, the grand recruitment ceremony of Prof. Bohumir Strnadel took place in the No.3 meeting room on the second floor of the Administration Building. Prof. Bohumir Strnadel was one of the distinguished professors in the 'One Hundred Elites Plan' of Huber Province. Our vice president, Prof. Li Dongsheng, key members of Prof. Bohumir Strnadel's research team, the heads from the School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, the Department of Academic Affairs, the Department of Scientific Technology and Industry, the Department of International Relations, etc., attended the ceremony hosted by the director of the Department of Human Resources, Ms. Xiao Zhiling.

Prof. He Xing Xingyang, the associate dean of our School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, introduced the basic profiles of Prof. Bohumir Strnadel. Then our vice president, Prof. Li Dongsheng, issued him the letter of appointment for distinguished professors. 

Prof. Bohumir Strnadel expressed his pleasure of joining HBUT and his thanks for HBUT's strong support of his project. He hoped that via the 'One Hundred Elites Plan' of Huber Province, intervarsity cooperation could be strengthened to attract more young scholars to join in the research teams, and to further promote in-depth exchanges of university-enterprise cooperation  and elites cultivation between Czech Republic and China, thus boosting our development in the relevant international cutting-edge scientific research fields.

In the end, on behalf of our entire university, Prof. Li Dongsheng extended heartfelt thanks and a warm welcome for Prof. Bohumir Strnadel's joining. He hoped that our School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment could seize the chance to realize the advancement of the whole school.
