In the afternoon of June 16th, Dr. David Wang, invited by our School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, made an academic report hosted by Prof. Huang Yanyan from Architecture Art Planning. All the teachers and students from the school listened to the academic report, which was named as named as The Research Methods of Architecture in our university. 

During the report, Dr. Wang firstly made a discussion whether architecture design was equal to the relevant research. He hoped that his opinion provide guidance for the audience researching on Architecture, or references for informal investigation directed at built environment, including multi-scale surveys involved with building components, rooms, buildings, neighborhood, areas in city center, etc. According to Dr. Wang, compared with other disciplines with more regularity and speciality, the researches on Architecture were more extensive and diversified.

Dr. Wang’s sense of humor, profound learning, and advanced research results, greatly broaden the field of vision of the attendant students and teachers, thus let them deeply realize the importance of innovative thinking. In the end, Dr. Wang had in-depth discussion with the students and teachers on heated problems in the field of Architecture, how to conduct intensive studies in Architecture, the development trends of Architecture, etc.
