From April 15th to 16th, under the arrangement of Hubei Provincial Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau, vice president Zhang Yingjiang led a team of 4 members to participate in the 15th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP) hosted by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), and Shenzhen Municipal Government, held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The representatives were Mr. Zhang Yingjiang, vice president of HBUT, Ms. Xiao Zhiling, director of Human Resources Department, Ms. Long Yan, the director of our Department of International Relations (DIR) and Ms. Liu Ming, administrator of foreign teachers in DIR.

According to Wang Haiyang, deputy director of the Organizing Committee and director of the Information Center of SAFEA, over 17,800 professional representatives including 8,500 foreign experts and 9,300 delegates from higher education institutes, foundations, human resources companies, head-hunting companies, etc. and 4,600 organizations and companies from 72 countries and regions attended this year's CIEP. The conference has 15 sections, including exhibition and negotiation, talent recruitment, project matching, forums, and special seminars.

Mr. Zhang Yingjiang focused on the exhibition of foreign consultation achievements and overseas graduates services with his team. The exhibition is held by various provinces and cities for achievements demonstration, recruitment requirements and their different policies. Our delegations also consulted with foreign experts organizations to disseminate job information for overseas talents and learn about the latest developments in overseas experts’ recruitment of other universities for international exchanges and cooperation expansion.

History

This conference (CIEP), which was first held in 2001, is China's only international event that caters specifically to foreign experts in China and since its beginning has provided many good opportunities for human resource and technology exchanges.
