On afternoon of March 14th, 2017, the delegation from Alfred University, USA, were invited to visit our university. The delegation included the following leaders: Prof. Alastair Cormack, the dean of the School of Engineering; Prof. Wilfred Huang, the dean of the Confucius Institute. Our vice president, Prof. Yingjiang Zhang, was present at the meeting. The following from our university attended the meeting: the Dean of the School of Art and Design, the Dean of the School of Economics and Management, the Dean of the School of Material Science and Chemical Engineering, the staff of the Department of International Relations, etc. The meeting was hosted by the director of the Department of International Relations, Ms. Yan Long.

Prof. Zhang Yingjiang, gave a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of our university. He gave a brief introduction about our university's history, majors, discipline features, scientific research, International exchange and cooperation, etc. Then Prof. Wilfred Huang introduced the situation of Alfred University, USA. Prof. Zhang Yingjiang, on behalf of our university, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Prof. Alastair Cormack between Alfred University and Hubei University of Technology, thus providing our students with several overseas exchange programs for study.

After the meeting, the delegation visited some outstanding laboratories and studios of our School of Material Science and Chemical Engineering and our School of Art and Design. They expressed that the laboratories and studios were really impressive.
